How it works
Follow the worksheets in order, using only the sections that apply to your celebration.
- Start with Wedding Budget Workbook and Budget Priorities & Boundaries. Agree the total spending limit, reserve and priorities before assigning money to categories.
- Complete Where the Money Is Coming From and Wedding Savings Plan. Distinguish available funds from expected contributions and future savings so the budget does not rely on money that has not arrived.
- Use Budget Allocation Plan to divide the spending limit. Build Master Wedding Budget from those targets, then update the committed amounts as quotes are accepted.
- Record individual purchases and actual payments in Detailed Expense Log. Use Vendor Financial Commitments for contracted amounts, deposits, remaining balances and the terms that affect what you owe.
- Put due dates in Payment Calendar and compare them with the money available in Monthly Cash-Flow Planner. Resolve any timing gap before agreeing a payment you cannot fund.
- Use Guest Count Cost Impact to test changes in attendance. Review Often-Forgotten Costs Check and Tips & Gratuities Plan before calling the budget complete.
- Record a new cost or changed commitment on Contingency & Budget Changes, including its effect on the reserve. Update the master budget, payment dates and cash-flow plan together.
- Use Final Budget Reconciliation to compare the plan with actual spending and unpaid balances. Complete Financial Closeout when final payments, refunds and remaining actions are resolved; print more copies of transaction worksheets as needed.
