How it works

Enter your actual planning assumptions, review the estimate, and keep it current as plans change.

  1. Choose the celebration type and enter Adults and Children separately.
  2. Choose the Meal style that matches the service you intend to offer and enter Event duration in hours.
  3. Click Update Estimate and review the suggested quantities for that guest mix and service style.
  4. Use the estimate to discuss portions and ordering with your caterer. Confirm dietary needs, actual menu portions and any staff meals separately; update the inputs when the attendance or service plan changes.
  5. Use Print / Save PDF to open the PDF preview of the current estimate. Review the report, then choose Download PDF to keep a copy or Print for a paper copy.
  6. Use Save Progress to keep these inputs in your planner account and check for the success confirmation. Sign in or create an account if prompted; revisit Saved Progress in your Planner Dashboard to continue. Reset returns the calculator to its default inputs.
